Project Description
During our excursion we will visit the two capitals of Malta: the medieval Mdina and the more modern Valletta. We will start our tour from the old medieval capital of Mdina. We’ll walk through its quiet streets and go on top of the high bastions, which are located at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level! We will see the palaces of the Maltese nobility, small chapels and the majestic
Cathedral of St. Paul, and then we will go to present capital city Valletta.
Valletta is a city of fortifications and palaces. A walk through this historic city will reveal the beauty and charm of this walled city, built by the Knights Hospitallers in the 16th century. In Valletta we will visit the Upper Barrakka Gardens from which we will continue our way through the streets of the city, see the palaces of the knights, visit the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the parish church of the Shipwreck of the Apostle Paul, go to St. George Square to see the Palace of the
Grand Masters and, if you wish, we’ll go see a 5D movie.
Duration – 4 hours with a tour guide without entrance tickets or with entrance tickets, if desired.
