Project Description
We will visit “Versailles in miniature” – this is what the Maltese call the Palazzo Parisio.
There are no servants in the palace, so you will feel as if you are the master of the place and you will enjoy it. It is a palace of the nobility decorated in baroque style with extensive flower lawns and fountains in its gardens.
Palazzo Parisio is located in the village of Naxxar, where you will have the opportunity to visit the parish church of the Most Holy Victorious Virgin Mary, walk the winding streets of the village and taste the local bread Ħobż biż żejt (fresh local bread with olive oil).
Then we will head to the town of Marsa, where we will visit the Marsovin wine cellars – the oldest in Malta, dating back to the Knights of St. John, where both ordinary wines and champagnes are stored and aged. There we will taste the local Marsovin wines washed down with traditional Maltese snacks!
Duration – 4 hours with a guide.
