The village was built in the 1980s for the filming of the movie “Popeye”. Filming ended, but the fabulous set remained, and later it was decided to turn it into a Maltese Disneyland.

“Popeye” is a musical comedy starring the famous actor Robin Williams as the titular sailor. 

Popeye the sailor’s Village is a magical place that is located in the most picturesque corner of Malta. Visiting it you will experience the most incredible emotions.

You will feel like a child again: you will fool around, have fun and laugh. You will not leave this magical place without a smile.

It is a great village to visit with children or even just with your partner!

There is regular animation and a couple of restaurants inside the village.
